Satte City is located in northeastern Saitama Prefecture, about 50 km from Tokyo （ Nihonbashi ）. The eastern part of the city borders Chiba Prefecture and the northern part borders Ibaraki Prefecture. It is a compact city with an area of 33.93㎢, 8.8km from east to west and 7.6km from north to south. The topography is flat, with a difference in elevation of only 11.2 m within the city, and there are few hills.

The Satte IC of the Ken-O Expressway was opened in March, 2015, providing access to many directions.
Agriculture ・ Commercial ・ Expectations are high for the development of industry in the city.

The west side of the city is urban and the east side is rural.
Easy access from the city center and a peaceful landscape.

▼ Symbol mark Gongendo Sakura Dike
The Gongendo Dike was built in the Edo period to prevent rivers from flooding. About 100 years ago, cherry tree seedlings were planted here. Although the trees were once cut down, today, approximately 1,000 cherry trees bloom beautifully every year on the 1 km-long levee. The cherry blossom tunnel and the collaboration of rape fields, cherry blossoms, and blue sky continue to attract visitors. Hydrangeas in early summer, sunflowers in summer, manjushage in autumn, and daffodils in winter. Seasonal flowers attract many people to Gongendo Tsutsumi throughout the year.

▼ Prospered as an inn town in the Edo period (1603-1867)
With its history as a prosperous inn town, Satte City is thought to have been an important place as it was the junction of the Nikko and Onari roads and also where the Tsukuba Road diverges. The main street, which retains the appearance of Sattejuku, was once lined with merchant houses on both sides of the road. Many of these old houses and warehouses still remain.

One of the pleasures of getting to know Satte City is to visit the old houses and remember the prosperity of the past.
